Welcome to SHAM KNIVES – where ancient forging traditions meet modern artistry. Based in Kalispell, Montana, we are a small-batch, handcrafted knife shop dedicated to creating blades that are as beautiful as they are functional.

Every knife that leaves our workshop is made by hand, one at a time, with the same passion and attention to detail that has defined the craft of bladesmithing for centuries.

Our Craft

We specialize in Damascus steel – one of the most storied and visually stunning materials in the world of bladesmithing. Damascus steel is created by forge-welding multiple layers of high-carbon steel together, then folding, twisting, and drawing them out to create the distinctive flowing patterns that make each blade truly one of a kind.

No two SHAM KNIVES blades are ever exactly alike. The patterns in the steel, the grain of the handle material, the subtle curves of the edge – every detail is shaped by hand and by fire.

Materials We Use

We take pride in sourcing premium natural materials for our handles and fittings, including:

Rosewood – rich, warm, and naturally beautiful
Buffalo horn – durable and deeply traditional
Stag horn – rugged and timeless
Epoxy resin – modern, colorful, and endlessly customizable

Each handle is shaped, fitted, and finished by hand to ensure a comfortable, secure grip and a look that complements the blade perfectly.
